Hercules, son of Hera and Zeus, is snatched as a baby by King of the Underworld Hades. Hades plan to kill Hercules is foiled and Hercules is left on earth as a half-man, half-god. As Hercules grows, he struggles to control his god-like strength and is outcast by Athenian society. Seeking answers, Hercules discovers his immortal heritage and Zeus tells him that to return to Mount Olympus he must become a true hero.
With help from his best friend Pegasus and his trainer Phil, Hercules battles monsters, Hades and the Titans, on his path to being a true hero. But it is his self-sacrifice to rescue his love Meg which makes him a true hero.
